Swerve Strickland demonstrated his readiness to push the envelope during AEW All Out’s steel cage match, performing several high-risk moves. However, AEW’s leadership is now facing scrutiny for allowing such dangerous spots during the event, raising concerns about wrestler safety and the potential for serious injuries in the future.

At AEW All Out, Swerve Strickland and Adam Page faced off in a punishing Lights Out Steel Cage match that quickly escalated. Swerve Strickland’s aggression escalated during his match against Hangman Page, stabbing Page in the head. In retaliation, Page removed Strickland’s grill and used a needle on him. The brutal encounter culminated with a decisive chair shot from Page, leading to his victory. Strickland was left seriously injured and required immediate medical attention following the intense and dangerous match.

Earlier in the night, Jon Moxley was trying to suffocate Bryan Danielson with a plastic bag as well. Disco Inferno took to Twitter and criticized AEW’s leadership for allowing dangerous moments during All Out, like scenes involving suffocation and needles in a wrestling match. He was surprised that no one in charge thought these were a bad idea for professional wrestling. He also questioned who AEW was trying to appeal to with such extreme content, pointing out the risks and how it could hurt the company’s image.

“Nobody in the decision making process thought suffocating someone was a bad idea to be included in to professional wrestling programming? And needles, too? What audience was this directed to?”

We have also reported that Swerve Strickland will be taking hiatus after AEW All Out and that people backstage in AEW were freaking out due to the match. Regardless, AEW will continue to display a major level of violence, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
