AEW has some big plans for the future, and they are still expanding. Now, fans may have to save back an extra $50 after Christmas to catch the company’s final pay-per-view event of the year.

WWE is not running a premium live event in December. They are doing Crown Jewel on November 4th and then Survivor Series on November 25th. It appears that AEW is not going to take December off when it comes to pay-per-view events.

PW Insider noted that InDemand sources have told them that AEW has locked in a new pay-per-view event for December 30th. It was not noted that this event will be called.

Sources at InDemand have confirmed AEW has locked in Saturday 12/30 for a new potential PPV date.

Tony Khan made it clear he was willing to add additional PPVs to the company schedule recently but wasn’t locked in to a specific number annually.

Tony Khan made it clear during the AEW WrestleDream media scrum that he was not committing to monthly pay-per-view events. That being said, it certainly looks like they are going that direction.

AEW opened their doors and proclaimed that they wanted to lighten the pay-per-view schedule, so fans got their money’s worth. It appears that Tony Khan and company may kick it up a notch now.
