AEW made its entry into the video game world with AEW Fight Forever, which came with a lot of hype. Although the game received mixed reviews, fans are still eager to know if AEW will create more games. Now it appears that discussions about developing new AEW games have picked up again.

Mike Straw of Insider Gaming took to Twitter and revealed that talks have picked up when it comes to AEW making games again. However, this time AEW doesn’t plan to announce anything too early, unlike what happened with Fight Forever, which they now see was a mistake. Any future game or update will be revealed much closer to its planned release.

“It’s not AEW related. But I can tell you, talks have picked up more on the AEW games front. What they won’t do, however, is announce anything too early this time. They know that was a mistake. When a new game/update comes, it will be closer to it’s planned released.”

It is to be noted that AEW had been for a new partner for their upcoming video game projects and would likely part ways with Yukes. On top of that, Tony Khan also confirmed more AEW video games will be on the way in the future.

It might be some time before AEW officially announces another game, but it’s clear they’ve learned from their first experience and plan to take a different approach. This could lead to a smoother launch and a better overall game when the next AEW title eventually arrives.
