The IInspiration are officially All Elite — but if you scroll through AEW’s social media, you’ll see the fan reaction isn’t exactly a victory parade.
Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee debuted at AEW’s House Rules event in Brisbane on February 15, 2026. After wrestling Frankie B and Aysha, the duo grabbed the microphone and confirmed they’ve signed with the company. For two Australian stars debuting on home soil, it should’ve been a celebratory moment.
Instead, the comment section under AEW’s announcement video quickly filled with pushback. Some fans immediately questioned why AEW brought them in when the company already has established women’s tag teams. One commenter compared them directly to Tay Conti and Anna Jay.
“I can't believe this. AEW had TayJay who are younger and better and most important homegrown OGs in the division. Imagine building up the division only to get pushed aside by these ew WWE wrestlers. No wonder Anna's going to WWE”
Others criticized the way AEW handled their debut, arguing it should have happened on a bigger stage instead of a live event.
“One of the few credible female tag teams should NOT be appearing on your product for the first time at some random live event …. Ladies let this be your first red flag!”
That frustration was echoed by another fan who simply wrote, “Should of made their debut at Grand Slam” Beyond presentation concerns, some fans went after their in-ring reputation, questioning whether they fit AEW’s “where the best wrestle” branding.
“‘where the best wrestle’.. and then The Iinspiration gets to be signed.”
Another user bluntly added:
“But they’re awful.”
There was also criticism aimed directly at Tony Khan’s signing strategy, with some accusing him of bringing in too many former WWE names.
“For fu*k sake Tony stop signing everyone especially untalented people”
Another comment focused on roster size. “They are signing everyone for 4 hrs weekly show imao” And one fan suggested the duo won’t stick around long. “Wasting’s papa Khan’s money. I bet they will be off TV in a month.”
Now that the signing is official, the reaction online shows a clear divide. Some fans see name recognition and chemistry. Others see roster overcrowding. The bigger story right now isn’t just that The IInspiration signed — it’s that their arrival has sparked immediate debate about AEW’s direction.
