The May 21, 2025, episode of AEW Dynamite was the go-home edition of the show before Double or Nothing and it featured lots of solid segments, especially MJF’s contract signing with the Hurt Syndicate. However, despite that, the show saw a massive drop in viewership this week.
According to Programming Insider, AEW Dynamite drew 575,000 viewers — down sharply from the 682,000 viewers it pulled in on May 14. In the P18–49 demographic, the show earned a 0.15 rating, a dip from last week’s 0.17. These figures reflect live cable broadcast numbers and do not include delayed viewing or Max streaming.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured a lot of memorable moments. This includes MJF officially joining the Hurt Syndicate as he signed a contract with the faction, and afterwards Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara interrupted them.
Mercedes Mone and Jamie Hayter also had a massive brawl ahead of their match at AEW Double or Nothing and it saw Hayter lay out the CEO of AEW to stand all. This and many other moments took place throughout the night.
