The June 25th edition of AEW Dynamite had a lot of things going for it as we head towards the All In: Texas pay-per-view in July. This included Jon Moxley and Hangman Page’s feud heating up in a big way. However, it appears this week’s show saw a significant drop in viewership.
According to Dave Meltzer, AEW Dynamite drew 613,000 viewers on TBS, down from 736,000 the previous week. In the coveted P18–49 demographic, Dynamite scored a 0.15 rating — also a significant drop from the 0.21 it earned on June 18. Despite this, AEW was the third-highest ranked show on cable Wednesday night, trailing only the NBA Draft (2 million viewers / 0.67 in 18–49) and Fox News.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw Jon Moxley brutally attacking Hangman Page and even choking him out with a chain, before the Opps came out to make the save.
MJF and Mark Briscoe also had a solid promo back-and-forth, which was what MJF really wanted. This and many other moments took place throughout the night that kept fans engaged.
