Next week’s AEW Dynamite: Spring Break-Thru is shaping up to be a wild one—and AEW just dropped several major match confirmations for the April 16 show.
Two Owen Hart Cup tournament bouts are now official. Will Ospreay will face Konosuke Takeshita in what could easily steal the show, while Mercedes Mone goes one-on-one with Athena in a battle that’s got AEW fans holding their breath. Both matches are part of the ongoing men’s and women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup.
Hangman Page is also in action, but his opponent remains a mystery. He’ll face a Wild Card entrant in another Owen Hart Cup match. AEW hasn’t dropped any hints yet, which only adds to the chaos.
In trios action, The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) will defend their titles against The Opps—Samoa Joe, HOOK, and Katsuyori Shibata. That one’s going to be violent, guaranteed.
There’s also been some drama brewing between Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona, and the reunited team of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. The match hasn’t been made official yet, but Kaun and Liona publicly laid out the challenge for Spring Break-Thru, so don’t be surprised if it goes down live.
