The February 4, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite took an unexpected turn when the Las Vegas crowd erupted into a loud “F* ICE”** chant just as the bell was about to ring for the main event between MJF and Brody King.

The chant came out of nowhere, seemingly unrelated to either wrestler or the ongoing storylines in AEW. Despite the lack of context, it was unmistakably loud and sustained. The production didn’t cut away, and even MJF appeared caught off guard, as seen by his bewildered expression in the ring.

Wrestling personalities have occasionally addressed real-world issues like ICE before, but this instance seemed more like an unpredictable act of crowd disruption. The timing, however, comes amid recent national headlines where ICE has faced backlash following reports of violent altercations and multiple deaths during arrests across the U.S. That could have fueled the crowd’s reaction—even if it had nothing to do with AEW itself.

Fans are no strangers to hijacking shows with chants to get attention, whether it’s “CM Punk,” “What?” or now, seemingly, this. So was this a political statement by the Las Vegas crowd—or just another example of fans trying to get themselves over?

Have you ever seen a live wrestling crowd pull something like this before? Drop your reactions in the comments and let us know if this crossed the line or kept things real.
