The May 22, 2025 episode of AEW Collision aired just days before Double or Nothing, bringing major build-up to the pay-per-view card—including an intense in-ring confrontation between Mike Bailey and Kazuchika Okada ahead of their AEW World Title match. Despite the momentum, the show experienced another drop in viewership.
According to Programming Insider, Collision drew 353,000 viewers on TBS, down from 398,000 on May 17 and 382,000 on May 8, both of which also aired outside Collision’s usual Saturday slot. The episode also posted a 0.08 rating in the 18–49 demographic, a slight decline from the 0.09 rating scored on both May 17 and May 8.
The Thursday night scheduling—alongside stiff competition from the NBA Playoffs—continues to affect audience retention, despite significant storyline developments.
The latest episode of AEW Collision saw Mike Bailey and Kommander duke it out with LFI and pick up the win, after which Kazuchika Okada came out and confronted Bailey. Bailey got the better of the exchange as he took out the Rainmaker and stood tall ahead of their Continental Title match at Double or Nothing.
Kyle Fletcher also duked it out with Jay Lethal in singles competition and Fletcher picked up an easy win over the veteran. This and many other moments took place throughout the night.
With Tony Khan’s continued focus on delivering compelling storytelling and high-impact wrestling, AEW remains committed to growing Collision’s viewership.
