The drama surrounding the May 17 episode of AEW Collision: Beach Break just keeps getting stranger. While AEW confirmed that the full episode is now available to stream on the TNT Drama app, fans continue to ask the same question: where is it on MAX?
During the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez confirmed that as of early Tuesday morning at 3:07 AM ET, the episode still hadn’t dropped on MAX. Dave Meltzer followed up with even more confusion, admitting that he’s been trying to get answers but no one seems to have any.
“So this is a weird one. It’s been up all day on the TNT app. So if it’s okay on the TNT app, I don’t know why it wouldn’t be up on MAX,” Meltzer said. “I mean, there are so many questions here. Believe me, I’ve been asking these questions and nobody is answering these questions so far as to what is going on, or what happened. When is it going to air in the UK? Is it going to be the 82-minute version or is it going to be the two-hour version? And I don’t even know. It should be up on ITV imminently. So, yeah. I don’t know why.”
The mystery continues, as international fans are also left wondering what version of the episode they’ll even get. The confusion began when the episode was abruptly cut during the ROH Tag Team Championship main event and Black Adam aired instead — prompting widespread online complaints and memes. Now, even the wrestling insiders don’t have a clear answer.
Is this streaming mishap just a one-off glitch, or is there something bigger going on behind the scenes with AEW and MAX? Drop your theories and reactions in the comments below!
