The next chapter in the AEW vs. WWE rivalry is officially on the calendar—and it’s set to go down at the end of this month.

AEW Collision will air in its regular time slot of 8 PM ET on Saturday, February 28. That puts it directly in competition with WWE’s Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, which airs live from Chicago on ESPN in the US and Netflix internationally.

This move marks yet another instance of the two promotions locking horns over primetime. In 2025, WWE repeatedly counterprogrammed AEW shows, including scheduling WrestlePalooza against AEW All Out, and airing both Saturday Night’s Main Event and NXT: The Great American Bash on the same day as AEW All In: Texas.

Despite the pressure, AEW President Tony Khan previously made it clear he welcomes the challenge. Speaking on Going Ringside in late 2025, Khan said the company had not only weathered WWE’s counterprogramming—but thrived because of it.

“Well, we're having a great year. We've been able to stick and move and make it work really well for us. There's always going to be tough competition. In this sport, it's very tough competition—a kind of competition that makes you work really hard 52 weeks a year.”

As WWE and AEW once again go live at the same time on February 28, fans will be faced with a choice—and both sides are showing up with momentum.
