AEW is swerving WrestleMania week with a major Collision change—literally.

Instead of going head-to-head with WWE’s WrestleMania 41 Saturday show on April 19, AEW Collision will now air live on Thursday, April 17. That’s not a typo. The show is shifting nights for WrestleMania week and getting a brand-new theme: AEW Collision: Spring Breakthru.

According to the official TNT schedule, the episode will air live at 8 p.m. ET from MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts. AEW already has a double-shot planned for the city, with Dynamite scheduled the night before on April 16 at the same venue.

WrestleMania Saturday is just too massive to compete with—and AEW knows it. Rather than fight the juggernaut, Tony Khan’s crew is clearing out early and giving fans their collision course on a different night.

AEW Collision will air live from Boston on Thursday 4/17 on TNT and MAX, Ringside News can confirm. The company is branding the episode as “Spring Breakthru” to give it its own identity during WWE’s busiest week of the year.

Smart move or strategic surrender? Either way, fans get one more night of action without having to split screens.
