After a bizarre weekend that left fans scratching their heads, AEW Collision: Beach Break has finally been added to MAX in full.
The episode, which aired on Saturday, May 17, abruptly cut off during the main event—replacing the ROH Tag Team Championship match with Black Adam—and wasn’t available on MAX for days, fueling speculation and frustration.
AEW confirmed earlier that the full episode was available on the TNT Drama app, but fans were quick to point out that it was nowhere to be found on MAX. Wrestling Observer Radio’s Bryan Alvarez noted early Tuesday morning that the episode still hadn’t appeared on MAX by 3:07 AM ET. Dave Meltzer added more to the mystery, saying, “This is a weird one. It’s been up all day on the TNT app. So if it’s okay on the TNT app, I don’t know why it wouldn’t be up on MAX.”
Meltzer continued, “I’ve been asking these questions and nobody is answering these questions so far as to what is going on, or what happened.” He also raised concerns for fans outside the U.S., asking, “When is it going to air in the UK? Is it going to be the 82-minute version or is it going to be the two-hour version?”
As of now, the mystery appears to be over. MAX has added the full Beach Break episode—days after the broadcast glitched out and left fans furious online. Whether it was a technical mishap or something deeper behind the scenes, AEW hasn’t publicly addressed the exact cause.
