Adam Sandler has finally revealed what it was like to work with MJF on Happy Gilmore 2, and he definitely had a lot of great things to say.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Adam Sandler was asked what working with MJF was like. He described MJF as hilarious and a great kid, calling him a family member. Sandler shared that he was a bit concerned during filming when MJF had to leave to wrestle a match and then come back. MJF told him he was going to win before heading out.
When MJF returned, he was visibly bruised. Some of the marks were easy to cover up, but others weren’t. Despite that, Sandler praised MJF for being in incredible shape and called him a stud. He jokingly called MJF his “fake son forever” and said he was proud of him, adding that the love he feels for MJF is very real.
“Funny as hell. What a great kid. Love him. Family member. I was a little concerned when halfway through he was going to fight. He went and had a match and then had to come back. It was at the Garden, I think. And he goes, ‘I’m going to win.’ Yeah, yeah.
But the things he has to do… he came back bruised. I mean, there were some bruises you can cover, and then there were some extra bruises. That kid is jacked and he’s a stud, and I’m happy to say he’s my fake son forever. I’m proud of my fake son. I love my fake son. And I love him in real.”
Happy Gilmore 2 is set to release on July 25, 2025, and fans can’t wait for the movie. One of the biggest reasons for the hype is the casting of MJF as Adam Sandler’s son. Based on his previous acting roles, many believe he’s going to exceed all expectations and deliver an epic performance in the film. Therefore, we’ll have to see whether MJF will truly put on the performance of a lifetime.
