Adam Pearce isn’t afraid to laugh at himself—and this time, he did it from the front seat of his car.
After accidentally referring to Rhea Ripley as still being a member of The Judgment Day on the April 7 episode of WWE RAW, Pearce took to Instagram to address the slip-up. Fans were quick to notice the mistake since Ripley hasn’t been affiliated with the faction in weeks, but Pearce wasn’t running from it.
“Just sittin’ here, uh, reflecting on the perils of live TV,” Pearce began in a casual video filmed from his car. “When you fumble a line or step on a line or say a line that’s not even in the damn script… Oh my God guys, what if I would have mixed Rhea with McInfart!? RiplaFart. That actually works.”
Yes, “RiplaFart.” Pearce jokingly leaned into the chaos of live television and turned a simple botch into a viral-worthy punchline.
The mistake happened during the opening segment of RAW when Pearce introduced Ripley alongside IYO SKY and Bianca Belair ahead of their newly announced triple threat match at WrestleMania 41. “Representing The Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley,” he said, despite Ripley not being part of the group anymore.
While it was a minor error, fans on social media jumped all over it—prompting Pearce to offer this tongue-in-cheek explanation that proves he’s not taking himself too seriously.
