Adam Pearce decided to troll the WWE Universe with a fake announcement, only to rickroll them in the end.
The RAW General Manager took to his Instagram and uploaded a video that started with him delivering what sounded like a serious announcement. He talked in a very sad and serious tone and explained that he wasn’t quite sure how to begin but was thankful he had the chance to speak before the news spread publicly.
Pearce hinted that his journey might be coming to an end, making it seem like he was about to reveal he had been released from WWE. However, just as it reached the emotional peak, the audio suddenly cut to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up,” revealing that Pearce had rickrolled his fans.
“Um, Happy Sunday everybody. Um, not exactly sure how to start this. Got some unfortunate news this morning… on a Sunday.
Um, but I am grateful that I have been afforded the opportunity to release this information before it is disseminated publicly. Um, all of us realize that at some point the journey comes to an end. And uh… I guess bottom line is…”
This isn’t even the first time Adam Pearce trolled fans this year since it’s obvious he enjoys fooling fans one way or the other. Regardless, fans are just glad Pearce is still part of WWE and that’s all that matters to them right now.
