Adam Copeland has been missing from AEW television for nearly a month, and now Tony Khan has finally revealed what’s keeping the Rated R Superstar away from the ring.

During an interview with Z100 New York, the AEW President explained that Copeland is currently off filming a new project but assured fans that he remains a major part of AEW’s plans. Khan said everyone in the company is eager for his return once his Hollywood commitments wrap up.

“I hope Adam Copeland has a lot more matches in AEW — he’s a huge part of AEW. Adam’s out filming right now — he’s a huge star in AEW, and we love having Copeland here. I’m excited for him to be back in AEW very soon after this project is done. He’s taking care of his business — and soon, we’ll have Copeland back taking care of business in the ring in AEW.”

Copeland’s outside project is none other than Percy Jackson and the Olympians, where he plays the role of Ares, the God of War. On top of that, he’s also secured a role in The Beekeeper 2, showing that his acting career continues to grow alongside his wrestling legacy.

His last AEW appearance came on the September 24 episode of Dynamite, where his storyline with FTR took a dramatic turn after they attacked his wife, Beth Copeland, at AEW All Out. When he returns, all signs point to that feud picking up right where it left off.

Adam Copeland’s Hollywood ventures might be keeping him away for now, but AEW fans know the moment he returns, it’s going to shake things up once again.
