Adam Copeland’s AEW return finally has a target — and it lines up with one of the company’s biggest events of the year.

Copeland has been off television since September 2025, when his emotional storyline with Christian Cage wrote him off Dynamite just as his Hollywood schedule ramped up. Between filming Percy and the Olympians and later working in London on The Beekeeper 2 alongside Jason Statham, the former world champion has been focused on movies instead of wrestling. Now there’s movement.

While speaking during a Q&A session on February 16, 2026, WrestleVotes shared that AEW is internally expecting Copeland back in time for Double or Nothing, which is reportedly set for Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City this Spring.

“Adam Copeland’s been off for quite a while, but Double or Nothing is coming to New York City, inside a 14,000 to 15,000-seat open-air stadium. Adam Copeland is expected to be back by Double or Nothing.”

That timing would make sense. Double or Nothing is one of AEW’s flagship pay-per-views, and bringing Copeland back in a 14,000–15,000 seat open-air venue would give the show a major boost. So if plans hold, Copeland’s Hollywood hiatus could wrap just in time for an epic return on one of AEW’s biggest stages in years.

Do you think Adam Copeland should jump straight back into a major feud at Double or Nothing, or ease into things after his time away? Sound off in the comments.
