Adam “Edge” Copeland knows his time in the ring is winding down—and now, the WWE Hall of Famer turned AEW star is sharing a raw, honest message with fans about what this journey has meant to him.

In a post to Instagram, Copeland reflected on his 33-year career, admitting the end is creeping closer, but he plans to soak up every second that’s left. Copeland marked the anniversary of his wrestling debut, which happened on Canada Day over three decades ago. His post took fans all the way back to the early days.

“On Canada Day 33 yrs ago I made my wrestling debut. In Oakland Raiders Zubaz and a pair of Converse. Nowhere to go but up.”

Since then, Copeland has been all over the world, from small towns to global arenas. He described the ride as both incredible and exhausting, but worth every second.

“Since then, I’ve travelled the world. Literally. Everywhere you can think of. From Moose Landing to Monterrey, from Bloodvein to Bucharest. It’s been a long, fruitful, soul expanding, soul diminishing, amazing, frustrating, exhausting, exhilarating journey over 3 decades.”

Copeland made it clear that hearing fans sing his entrance music Metalingus is still the best part—and he doesn’t take it for granted.

“The best part? I hear every one of you when I blast out of that entranceway and sing Metalingus at the top of your lungs. It’s never been lost on me what a privilege that is… It won’t last a lot longer so I’m gonna soak in every second. Thank you for coming along on this ride with me.”

The former WWE Champion has been off AEW television since April 6, after FTR turned on him. While there’s no official word on when he’ll be back, Copeland’s message is a reminder that whenever he does return, it could be part of his final run in pro wrestling.
