Adam Copeland is gearing up for an emotional return to London—a city he hasn’t wrestled in for 15 years. The WWE Hall of Famer, now performing in AEW, is set to team up with Christian Cage at Forbidden Door for a tag match against Killswitch and Kip Sabian at The O2 Arena. But according to Copeland, this could very well be the final time fans see him wrestle in the UK.
Taking to Instagram just one day before the big event, Copeland reflected on his history in England and made it clear he’s treating this match as something special.
“The last time I wrestled in London was 2010 against @chrisjerichofozzy and Jake Hagar(Jack Swagger) for the World Heavyweight Championship,” he wrote. “I’ve had a long drought here. Tomorrow that all changes when I team up with @christian4peeps for the first time since 2011 at @aew #forbiddendoor2025 vs @thekipsabian and Killswitch.”
Copeland made it clear that he doesn’t take international bookings for granted anymore, hinting that this might be the final time he competes in the city.
“I have to treat every time I perform abroad as the last time I could wrestle in that city,” he added. “So tomorrow I plan to soak it all in. Bring some loud lungs London. Let’s have some fun.”
The match will also mark a nostalgic full-circle moment. In 2001, Copeland and Christian wrestled each other inside a steel cage for the WWE Intercontinental Title in Manchester. Now, over two decades later, they’re once again sharing the ring on British soil—this time as teammates.
Kip Sabian was originally set to team with Nick Wayne, but Wayne was sidelined due to injury. Ironically, Wayne is just 20 years old—meaning he wasn’t even born when Copeland and Christian tore it up in England during WWE Rebellion.
