Adam Copeland was brutally attacked by FTR at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view after their loss to the Death Riders, effectively writing him off TV for the time being. While Copeland remains absent from AEW programming, he was recently spotted linking up with Trish Stratus at a Toronto Maple Leafs game.
WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of herself alongside Adam Copeland in Toronto, as they linked up together and attended the Toronto Maple Leafs’ game against the Ottawa Senators, as she said, “When in Toronto… #game2 @MapleLeafs @RatedRCope”
Dave Meltzer previously reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Adam Copeland likely won’t return until July, meaning he’ll miss the upcoming AEW pay-per-view and remain off TV for a while, saying, “I don’t expect him back until July. So he will miss the next pay-per-view. I think he’ll be out for a while.”
Copeland’s beatdown wasn’t just hard to watch; it was a major moment since it set up his eventual return. For now, it looks like the veteran is making the most of his time off, relaxing, catching up with old friends, and enjoying some hockey in his hometown.
As July approaches, fans are growing more excited for Adam Copeland’s return, especially since he’ll be seeking revenge on FTR. With AEW having big plans for him at All In: Texas, fans can’t wait to see how the Rated-R Superstar will be booked upon his return.
