Adam Copeland has been busy preparing for AEW Dynasty, but fans also wanted to know whether his wife, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, could show up around the event.
During a conversation with TV Insider, Copeland addressed the speculation head-on and made it clear that Beth’s life today looks very different from her days in the ring. Copeland was asked directly if Beth might appear again in AEW, possibly even around Dynasty weekend. While he joked about the idea at first, he quickly explained that her schedule and priorities outside wrestling make any return difficult right now.
“I don’t know. Yes, she’ll be here this weekend…Like I’ll say that [laughs]. Nice try though. Really, for us, she is going to be in Portugal. So it will be difficult for her to make it. She is pretty busy.”
Copeland went on to explain that Beth didn’t step away from wrestling because of injury or circumstance. Instead, she made the choice herself to leave WWE and move on to other parts of her life. According to him, that kind of exit makes returning to the ring much harder than when someone is forced out.
“It’s weird. Once you step away from this and walk past it, it’s tough to take the steps back. For me, the first time being forced to it was easier to walk back to it if that makes sense.”
He also made it clear that Beth is fully invested in life beyond wrestling. Between raising their family and launching new business ventures, her time is already spoken for, leaving little room for a return to the squared circle.
“She willingly walked away from all of it. She left WWE. She didn’t want to renew and wanted to be done there. She is living life, being a mom. She is starting a company. She is pretty busy.”
Even though Copeland didn’t shut the door completely, his comments paint a clear picture of someone who has moved on by choice rather than necessity. Beth Phoenix remains one of the most respected names in women’s wrestling, but for now, her focus appears to be firmly outside the ring.
With Beth Phoenix choosing family life and new business ventures over wrestling, it raises real questions about whether fans will ever see her lace up her boots again—or if her in-ring career is truly finished for good.
