Ace Austin’s time with TNA Wrestling is officially over—and it’s not ending with bad blood.
Scott D’Amore, former TNA president and now head of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, dropped the news in his D’Amore Drop column on Yahoo! Sports’ Uncrowned. Without any formal press release from the company, D’Amore confirmed what fans have been speculating: Ace Austin is now a free agent.
“Nothing has been said publicly, but Ace Austin’s contract with TNA has come to term,” D’Amore revealed. “Ace deciding to leave is amicable—he’s been there since he was barely out of his teens, and he’s ready to step up. I signed him, and everything he’s shown since confirms that Ace Austin becoming a massive star is, indeed, ‘inevitable.’”
“He’s ready for that next chapter. I think it is time Ace Austin goes all in on proving he’s one of the best.”
PWInsider later confirmed the story, adding that TNA did try to negotiate a new deal, but both sides couldn’t reach an agreement. Austin’s final appearance with the company will be on tonight’s television episode in a match against Mustafa Ali.
Austin signed with TNA in 2019 and quickly became one of its most dynamic stars. He held the X-Division Championship and was a Tag Team Champion alongside Chris Bey. His unique look, in-ring creativity, and consistency made him one of TNA’s most dependable talents over the last five years.
Now that he’s free, the wrestling world is watching closely to see where he lands next—and with WWE, AEW, and NJPW always looking for standout performers, Ace Austin’s next move could be his biggest yet. Ringside News will continue to keep you updated on his next move.
