Ace Austin has been the talk of the town after Scott D’Amore revealed he was parting ways with TNA Wrestling last week. A week since his final TNA Wrestling appearance, Austin has now confirmed he is a free agent.
Ace Austin took to Twitter and confirmed to the world that he is now officially a free agent, stating that change is inevitable and it’s not a matter of if but when, as he said, “Change is Inevitable. It’s not a matter of if… but when. -FREE AGENT-“
As previously reported, Ace Austin was offered a new contract by TNA Wrestling but decided not to accept it. According to Dave Meltzer, Austin chose to move on because he’s aiming to join a bigger wrestling promotion.
“Ace Austin’s deal is set to expire. Real name Austin Highley, 28, he was offered a new deal but turned it down and is looking at getting into a larger company.”
Ace Austin’s final appearance with TNA Wrestling was on the May 22 episode of TNA iMPACT, where he competed in a singles match against Mustafa Ali. He was also removed from TNA Under Siege and Champagne Singh ended up taking his place in a huge tag team match.
Ace Austin joined TNA in 2019 and quickly became one of the top stars. He won the X-Division title and later became Tag Team Champion with Chris Bey. Fans liked his unique style, creative moves, and reliable performances. For five years, he was one of the most trusted wrestlers in TNA. Now that he’s a free agent, we’ll have to wait and see which company he signs with next as the world is truly his oyster.
