Ace Austin is officially done with TNA Wrestling—and now he’s opening up about it in his own words. Shortly after his final TNA appearance, the former X-Division and Tag Team Champion has confirmed his free agency while reflecting on what the company meant to him.

Austin, who joined TNA in 2019 and became a major name thanks to his flashy style and consistent performances, was offered a new deal but turned it down. Dave Meltzer reported that the 28-year-old was looking to take the next step in his career with a larger company. His final match aired on the May 22 episode of TNA iMPACT, where he faced off against Mustafa Ali. He was also pulled from TNA Under Siege and replaced by Champagne Singh.

The big update came on June 8, when Austin took to Twitter with a heartfelt farewell post.

“There’s so much to be said about how phenomenal the last 6 years have been. It’s impossible to caption how much this time has meant to me. I’m grateful for every moment and I’m incredibly proud of the part I played. Representing the company across the world was an honor. This will always be my first home.”

He then thanked the roster and credited the people around him for shaping his growth—both in and out of the ring.

“Thank you @ThisIsTNA and thank you especially to the one of a kind locker room full of amazing, caring, hard working people who helped shape me into the performer and man I am today. I grew up with you and I will cherish that time forever. We’ve all worked so hard and TNA is better than ever.”

Austin ended with a final note of pride and hope, calling the relationship mutual and ongoing.

“They gave me an opportunity to shine and I gave them some of the best years of my life. Together we flourished. One of the best things about #TNA is the door always swings both ways.”

Now that Ace Austin is a free agent, speculation will only heat up about where he might land next. With a track record of standout matches and character work, he’s entering the market at a strong moment in his career.
