Abyss is back on TNA television, and his return happened in a surprise moment during the Undead Realm storyline on the April 9 episode of TNA iMPACT.
The segment featured several characters moving through the Undead Realm, including Rosemary, Mara Sadè, Tessa Blanchard, and Father James Mitchell. During the scene, Rosemary told Sadè that she is collecting the seven deadly sins and said she wanted Sadè to meet Allie, also known as The Bunny, who she trusted to help guide her.
Elsewhere in the segment, Mila Moore was shown walking alone before being suddenly grabbed and abducted by Havok, continuing the strange attacks that have followed Moore in recent weeks.
The biggest moment came when Rosemary met with Father James Mitchell and said she needed a favor. Mitchell warned that nothing comes free, but Rosemary led him into another room anyway.
Inside the room sat TNA Hall of Famer Abyss. The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion appeared and told Mitchell that he was sorry and admitted that he had sinned, marking his return to TNA programming.
Abyss hasn’t been regularly seen on TNA television in years. Outside the ring, he has been working as a producer for WWE since 2019, making this appearance an unexpected moment for longtime fans.
