Abyss has officially shut the door on his in-ring career—and this time, it’s coming straight from the source.

Chris Park, best known as Abyss, confirmed confirmed to Sean Ross Sapp that he’s done wrestling. While his appearance in the WWE 2K25 Dunk & Destruction DLC pack sparked speculation, Park made it clear that stepping back in the ring isn’t happening.

“To answer quite frankly, I’m done. I don’t have plans to ever wrestle again. Never say never, but I don’t see it in the cards, and I don’t want it in the cards. I’m so happy what I’m doing as a producer.”

Park, who hasn’t wrestled in over six years since being hired as a WWE producer and agent, said he hasn’t pushed to appear on-screen but would be open to returning as his Joseph Park character.

Outside the ring, Park seemed more than content with his current role and explained how much he enjoys the behind-the-scenes work with WWE. He also revealed that before joining WWE in 2018, he came close to signing with the company multiple times during the 2000s and appreciated the interest.

Abyss may not be stepping through the ropes again, but his influence is still being felt in the wrestling world—this time, behind the curtain.

Would you want to see Joseph Park show up on WWE TV? Or do you think Abyss should stay strictly behind the curtain? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
