Lucha libre fans—get ready. AAA is officially hitting FOX, and it’s coming in hot with a live premiere event from Mexico City on January 17.

\Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide confirmed the exact debut date via Twitter this week. Not only will the show air live, but it’s coming packed with star power—featuring the likes of Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Vikingo, Mr. Iguana, Dragon Lee, Rey Fenix, Penta, and El Grande Americano.

“AAA debuts on FOX live from Mexico City on January 17! Tickets are now available on Boletomovil. Follow it on FOX, FOX on Tubi, and FOX One for Mexico, Central, and South America.”

The move officially kicks off AAA’s exclusive broadcast deal with FOX Corporation, which was first announced earlier this year. Starting in 2026, FOX will become the new media home for AAA across Mexico, Central America, and South America (excluding Brazil). But now, the launch is happening ahead of schedule—with a bang.

Under the multi-platform deal, AAA programming—including massive shows like Triplemania—will be accessible through the FOX pay TV channel, Tubi (free with ads), and FOX One, FOX’s subscription-based streaming service.

Rey Mysterio, who famously launched his legendary career in AAA, called the new deal a full-circle moment for lucha libre.

“AAA has been part of my roots since day one and to see it reach new audiences on FOX in Mexico fills me with pride and excitement. Lucha Libre is part of our culture and bringing these stories to a broader audience is just the beginning – the future of AAA is brighter than ever.”

The January 17 debut also marks the first major crossover moment since WWE’s acquisition of AAA through its partnership with Mexican entertainment group Fillip. WWE exec Patrick Dooley explained the bigger picture behind this deal.

“This partnership will elevate AAA to new audiences and take Mexican sports entertainment to another level.”

FOX Sports Mexico’s Luis Maldonado echoed the sentiment, calling lucha libre an essential part of the region’s identity.

“Lucha libre is an essential part of culture and passion in Mexico; we are very proud to bring its stories and idols to millions of households across the country.”

With FOX already broadcasting Liga MX, the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and Formula 1, adding AAA to the mix solidifies its grip on premium sports entertainment in Latin America.

The launch event on January 17 is expected to set the tone for a major new era—not just for AAA, but for lucha libre as a whole. And with WWE’s backing and FOX’s reach, the stakes have never been higher.
