The March 6, 2026, episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be held at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. This was quite a big show, and it included a massive surprise for AAA fans.
During WWE SmackDown this week, Carmelo Hayes put his United States Title on the line against a new challenger. Nick Aldis told him that he had a lot of interest in that match, but he didn’t want to know who it was until the time came.
After Carmelo Hayes made his way out, he waited in the ring. Then El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr came out to face him. The AAA Latin American Champion received a nice pop from the crowd. After a nice back-and-forth match, Carmelo won the match. He could also be heard on camera saying “thank you so much” to the AAA champion as he pinned him.
This was a big surprise for fans. In the end, it just goes to show that you never know who will show up, because WWE’s reach is quite expansive. Only time will tell what AAA stars show up on the main roster next.
