The pro wrestling world can be a litigious place at time. A new lawsuit has emerged that might do some real damage to Game Changer Wrestling.

The Times Leader reports that a lawsuit was filed on June 4th against GCW by IndependentWrestling.TV. IWTV is suing Game Changer Wrestling for $500,000 over breaching their contract.

It is alleged in the lawsuit that GCW breached a contract that they held with IWTV in March, 2019. IWTV claims that they hold exclusive rights to GCW pay-per-view events.

IWTV alleges in the lawsuit that Game Changer Wrestling breached their agreement by streaming pay-per-views through another platform in December, 2020. Then they continued to do so another 36 times between December 5th and May 15th.

They are seeking damages “in excess of $500,000” for breaching their contract. As of this writing, GCW has not publicly responded to this lawsuit.

GCW streamed many pay-per-view events, including The Collective, through Fite TV. It was also quite a hot ticket on the streaming platform. We will continue monitoring this ongoing story.
