TNA is making it easier than ever for fans to watch iMPACT! this week—but not everyone’s invited.
The company confirmed that Thursday’s episode of iMPACT! will air live and completely free on YouTube for most of the world. The simulcast starts at 8 p.m. ET, giving fans around the globe a chance to tune in without a subscription or cable deal.
But there’s one big exception—Canada. TNA’s existing deal with Sportsnet means the free YouTube stream won’t be available there. Canadian fans will still have to watch through the usual Sportsnet broadcast.
The move is part of TNA’s latest push to get more eyes on iMPACT! in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the company also announced that encore presentations of iMPACT! will air Fridays at 6 p.m. ET, with free 24-hour replays afterward—again, excluding Canada.
Adding to the intrigue, iMPACT! is going head-to-head with AEW Collision this week. The Saturday-night staple is moving to Thursday for one week due to TNT’s coverage of the NASCAR Quaker State 400.
This week’s iMPACT! was taped last weekend in Moon Township, Pennsylvania and promises a stacked lineup. The card includes a street fight between Mike Santana and AJ Francis, The Hardys in tag team action, and a battle royal to determine the next challenger for the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Killer Kelly is first in line for a title shot, but whoever wins the battle royal gets the next opportunity.
Do you think TNA airing iMPACT! for free is a smart move? Or is going head-to-head with Collision too risky? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
