It looks like WWE had more going on with Chad Gable’s RAW segment than meets the eye.
According to a new report from BodySlam.net’s The Masked J, CodyWhoades, and Cory Hays, the angle involving Gable and Penta on Monday Night RAW wasn’t just for show — it was done to write Gable off television as he deals with a real-life injury.
The report notes that Gable is currently suffering from an undisclosed injury, which is serious enough to alter creative plans. WWE decided to use the attack by Penta to either completely take Gable off TV or significantly reduce his schedule while he recovers.
At this time, there are no concrete details on exactly what the injury is or how long Gable will be out of action. It’s also unclear if he’ll be working limited dates behind the scenes or staying away entirely while he heals.
The timing isn’t ideal, considering Gable has been a consistent presence on RAW in recent weeks. He’s leaned fully into his heel role, continuing to “coach” the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile while also feuding with top stars like Sami Zayn over the Intercontinental Championship.
Gable’s absence will definitely shake things up on RAW — especially with his current faction building momentum. We’ll have to wait and see how WWE handles his on-screen absence in the weeks to come.
