A major name from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide could be WWE-bound in the coming months.
According to BodySlam.net’s Cassidy Haynes, Psycho Clown will stop accepting independent bookings after August 2025. While neither Psycho Clown nor WWE have officially commented, sources believe the masked AAA star has signed a deal with WWE and is expected to report to the company once he wraps up his current obligations.
Psycho Clown has been one of AAA’s top stars for over a decade, winning championships and delivering some of the biggest moments in modern Lucha Libre. Most notably, his main event mask vs. mask match against Dr. Wagner Jr. at Triplemanía XXV is still considered one of AAA’s most historic bouts.
The report stops short of confirming the deal outright, but the timing of Psycho Clown finishing up his outside bookings has fueled speculation that WWE is his next stop.
If true, Psycho Clown would join a growing list of international talent quietly making the jump to WWE, as the company continues looking beyond its usual borders for fresh stars.
