Randy Orton was front and center at Fanatics Fest NYC this weekend—but it was a brief interaction with Zilla Fatu that got fans talking.

While The Viper was signing autographs and meeting fans, indie wrestling prospect Zilla Fatu—son of the late WWE legend Umaga—walked up to greet him. What followed was a respectful, low-key exchange between a WWE icon and a potential future star.

Orton, who’s been back on WWE TV since Survivor Series 2023 following a year-long absence due to serious back issues, took a moment to acknowledge Fatu and offer an encouraging hint about what could be coming next.

“Did you start wrestling? Just started? I’ll probably be seeing you soon.”

The two shared a hug before Orton returned to taking photos and signing for fans. It was brief, but the meaning was clear—Zilla Fatu is now on Orton’s radar.

Orton is currently deep in WWE’s King of the Ring tournament after a major 2024 program with Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title. But despite being one of the busiest names on the roster, he made time for a quiet, respectful nod to the next generation.
