The SummerSlam kickoff show was quite a shot at Fanatics Fan Fest in NYC. John Cena was on the show, and he had quite a time hamming it up for fans.
John Cena’s heel run gave him a great opportunity to stretch his legs. During Fanatics Fan Fest, he was in rare form as he refused to answer any real question. Of course, he also made a couple of inside remarks at Michael Cole, who hosted the show.
During his time on the stage, John Cena turned to Michael Cole and he told him that he loved him. Cena also brought up the fact that nobody expected to hear him say that today. Then he turned things around to acknowledge the nastier things that Cole has said about Cena’s recent run.
“I know you’ve been saying some nasty things about me on TV, but I just wanted to say that I forgive you, man. I love you.”
John Cena was having a great time at Fanatics Fest. He worked the crowd in expert fashion, and he spent his 10 minutes on the stage avoiding any real questions about his intentions.
Only time will tell what is next for John Cena in WWE. He is certainly going with a lot of steam as he holds his 17th World Title. He is also never going to forget this run with his historic heel run, one that he is going to make the most of.
