John Cena kicked off his retirement tour at the beginning of the year and he had very limited dates to begin with. We are more than halfway through his tour but it appears WWE still hasn’t figured out what his last dates will be.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez talked about John Cena’s retirement tour and revealed that WWE still hasn’t finalized John Cena’s full schedule leading up to his retirement.

According to Alvarez the former Leader of Cenation has around 17 dates left. However, the surprising part is that he was told WWE hasn’t yet worked out exactly when or where those appearances will be.

Alvarez says he expected that once Cena announced his retirement and WWE mentioned the 36-date farewell tour for 2025, they would’ve planned everything in advance. However, that’s not the case and WWE is still in the process of deciding which dates will be his final ones

“He’s got like, 17 dates left or something? He doesn’t have many dates left. The astonishing thing was, I was told that WWE had not worked out his exact schedule of dates leading to the end. I figured that when he announced, ‘Hey, you know I’m done,’ and they publicly said 36 dates or whatever the announcement was in 2025, I figured they just worked backwards and figured out 25 dates and had it all done at the beginning of the year. But I was told that is not the case. They are still figuring out what his last dates will be.”

John Cena is set to face off against Ron Killings on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown and afterwards, he’s set to defend his Undisputed WWE Title against CM Punk at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.

As John Cena’s retirement tour continues, it’s clear that WWE is leaving some things open. With more than six months left, we’ll have to wait and see how his retirement tour will turn out at the end of this year.
