Many fans were genuinely happy to see Savio Vega among the crowd during the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event and wondered if he would have an active role going forward. While speculation ran rampant, Vega has now confirmed he is working as an agent as part of WWE and AAA’s collaboration.
While speaking to Ten Count Media, Savio Vega confirmed that he’s currently working as an agent as part of the ongoing WWE and AAA collaboration. He mentioned that August will be a major turning point for the partnership, with AAA becoming more fully involved with WWE.
“Yeah, well, yeah—I’m working as an agent with the company, you know, with this project. So August is going to be the big move with the company. And I mean, Triple A is going to be fully involved with WWE. So let’s see what happens, step by step.”
When asked if he will wrestle, Vega said he doesn’t know exactly what’s planned yet, but he hopes he might appear on camera at some point. However he’s also fine with working behind the scenes, helping the current talent, who he admits are in better shape than him. In the end, he’s just happy to be back with the company and contributing to the project.
“I can’t say right now, like, ‘Hey, are we gonna do this?’ because I don’t know. But I hope I can be in front of the camera at some point, if it’s possible. If not, that’s okay—I’m happy being behind the scenes, working with the talent. They’re in better shape than me right now anyway. So, honestly, I’m just happy to be part of the company again and working with this group.”
Savio Vega working behind the scenes marks a new step forward in the relationship between WWE and AAA. With his solid experience, it’s very apparent that future crossover events between the two companies will turn out great.
