AEW fans inside Arena Mexico were treated to a powerful surprise after Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico went off the air on June 18, 2025.

After the show ended, lucha legend Blue Panther was getting jumped in the ring. Danielson stormed out, stopped on the ramp, and signaled for a group of luchadors to hit the ring. Once they ran in, Danielson followed right behind them.

He jumped in, hit a Busaiku Knee on one of the attackers, and cleared the ring. The crowd exploded. Danielson then raised Blue Panther’s hand and stood tall with the luchadors as the fans cheered.

This was Danielson’s first physical appearance since losing the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream 2024. He’s still not cleared to compete due to neck issues, but that didn’t stop him from getting involved for someone he’s long respected.
