Liv Morgan’s dislocated shoulder didn’t just derail her match on Raw—it’s left WWE Liv Morgan’s dislocated shoulder has thrown WWE’s women’s division into disarray—but the bigger story might be the emotional toll it’s taken backstage. As one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions and a central piece of several creative plans, Liv’s sudden injury didn’t just alter storylines—it hit people personally.

According to Fightful Select, multiple WWE talents reached out after the news broke, expressing their frustration and disappointment over the situation. Morgan, who is currently awaiting shoulder surgery, is said to be very popular backstage and her absence is being felt beyond the booking sheet.

“WWE talent reached out to extend their disappointment in the situation, as Liv is very popular backstage.”

Dave Meltzer previously reported that WWE still hasn’t finalized plans for how to replace Morgan in key matches, including what was expected to be a centerpiece bout at the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event. One of the major storylines was meant to include Nikki Bella interfering during Liv’s match on Raw, but once Morgan got injured mid-match, everything unraveled. Nikki was pulled from the show and the entire segment was scrapped.

“That’s going to have to be changed [Evolution 2 match]… From what I was told, the key meetings have not been held yet as far as what to do… Obviously, changes are going to be made.”

On top of that, Liv’s scheduled Fanatics signing appearance was also canceled in the wake of her injury. And while fans are hopeful for a quick recovery, Fightful emphasized that no official timetable has been given—any dates floating around are simply speculation for now.

With WWE holding off on major decisions and Evolution 2 approaching fast, the creative team is under pressure to find a new path forward. But for many in the locker room, this moment goes beyond TV scripts—it’s about seeing someone they care about sidelined during one of the biggest runs of her career.
