Vince McMahon is currently dealing with a sexual trafficking lawsuit but at the same time, he is focused on launching his own entertainment company. While he’s still making preparations, it appears that McMahon tried to purchase Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship as well.
While speaking to Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, founder and President of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship David Feldman confirmed that he and Vince McMahon had a meeting where McMahon wanted to buy a controlling interest in the promotion.
Feldman said McMahon is serious about returning to the world of promoting. Feldman added that while McMahon and his team were great to work with, the timing wasn’t right. He also wasn’t willing to give up full control of BKFC. Feldman added that McMahon was very respectful, gave positive feedback and was genuinely interested in doing business.
“He’s a great guy, his whole team is great, but the timing wasn’t right for us,” said Feldman, who was not willing to relinquish full control of BKFC. “He’s Vince McMahon–if I were him, I’d want creative control, too. He was awesome, very complimentary, and he was very serious to do business.”
This comes after it was confirmed that Vince McMahon’s new investment firm is called 14TH & I. That’s not all that’s been going on with McMahon, as he is allegedly open to buying back WWE and Jonathan Coachman even claimed that it’s absurd to think McMahon doesn’t have the means to buy back WWE.
Vince McMahon may no longer be running WWE, but he isn’t stepping away from entertainment and combat sports. His recent failed attempt to buy BKFC shows he’s still looking for new opportunities, so we’ll have to see if he will make any big moves in 2025.
