Fans feared the worst when rumors claimed that Hulk Hogan was on his deathbed following complications from neck surgery. However, it appears those rumors were entirely false, but he actually was hospitalized recently.
According to TMZ Sports, rumors that Hulk Hogan is on his deathbed are false. It was noted that the WWE Hall of Famer was hospitalized this week, but only to treat ongoing issues with his neck and back, problems he’s been dealing with for years.
A representative for the Hulkster confirmed the 71-year-old is not on his deathbed, and that the situation isn’t as serious as the rumors have made it seem. In fact, Hulk Hogan is already moving around again and recovering well.
“Hulk Hogan is NOT on his last legs — TMZ Sports is told the WWE legend was hospitalized to address lingering neck and back issues this week … but he is by no means on his deathbed.
A rep for Hogan tells us the 71-year-old isn’t close to death — he’s just dealing with more of the same ailments he’s had for years. In fact, we’re told Hogan’s back to moving around already.”
This comes after Bubba the Love Sponge claimed he heard Hulk Hogan was in very bad shape, and that his family was being asked to come say goodbye because Hogan was on his deathbed. However, Bubba also said that while his source was very reliable, things might have changed since he got the information, adding that he was hospitalized due to complications arising from his neck surgery.
“So I’ll tell you this — if you did some sniffing around, you might find him at a hospital near you, and it’s not good. I got some pretty reliable information last night that there are phone calls being made to various family members about getting to town to come say their goodbyes.
So listen, my sources are pretty damn reliable, but I still want to frame it carefully in case he got discharged last night at midnight and I haven’t talked to my sources since yesterday around 6 o’clock. My sources say, allegedly, Hogan is in the hospital, and I’ve heard people say that he might not make it. This should create a feeding frenzy among reporters in the wrestling industry and maybe even in pop culture — but he is not doing well. He is not in good shape.
I believe it’s a heart issue. I’ve been told that he publicly talked about a neck fusion surgery from a few weeks ago. My sources say it’s complications from that. And because within 72 hours of having this major neck fusion surgery, he was out promoting this new wrestling league, doing personal appearances at liquor stores and bars that carry his beer — he had no business being out and about. Whether you’re flying on a private plane or Delta, you don’t have the comforts of home. Terry’s going to be 72 soon, and I don’t think the doctors who did the surgery — I believe it was downplayed by a lot of people from Hogan’s camp — said it was minor, but it might’ve been major.”
While it’s clear the WWE Hall of Famer is still dealing with health challenges, fans can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Hulk Hogan isn’t on his deathbed and is actually already on the road to recovery.
