Kali Armstrong may have just won her first title, but WWE insiders already see her future stretching far beyond EVOLVE.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Armstrong has seriously impressed people within WWE following her work at recent EVOLVE tapings, with some even calling her a potential “future WrestleMania main eventer.”
Since winning the inaugural WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championship on the May 28 episode, Armstrong hasn’t slowed down. She recently brought the title to an NXT live event in Citrus Springs, and it turns out that’s not just a one-off appearance. WWE sources say she’s already been working NXT house shows regularly and is being discussed internally for a full-on call-up to the NXT roster.
The timing couldn’t be better. Armstrong has been gaining traction fast after defeating Kylie Rae, Wendy Choo, and Kendal Grey in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match to win the EVOLVE title. Rae did most of the damage by eliminating both Choo and Grey, but Armstrong finished the job, nailing Rae with the Kali Connection to capture the gold.
She made headlines again when WWE veteran Natalya entered the ring to present the belt—and Armstrong snatched it out of her hands without a word, holding it high and walking the ring solo. It was a message without a promo: she doesn’t want approval, she wants the spotlight.
Now, it looks like that spotlight is getting bigger. With praise coming from within WWE and growing fan interest around her rise, it seems Kali Armstrong’s move to NXT is only a matter of time—and maybe just the first step in something much bigger.
