WWE added a twist to Night of Champions during the June 16 episode of RAW when SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis officially confirmed a brand-new match: AJ Styles vs. Dominik Mysterio in Riyadh.

The announcement came after Styles pinned JD McDonagh on RAW, then went after Dominik and made his intentions clear. During a backstage segment, tensions in The Judgment Day spilled over when Dominik insisted on handling Styles himself, leading to Aldis locking in the match.

This new addition joins a stacked Night of Champions lineup already set to go down on June 28, 2025, at the Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Matches currently confirmed for the event:

  • John Cena vs. CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship
  • AJ Styles vs. Dominik Mysterio
  • King of the Ring Tournament Final
  • Queen of the Ring Tournament Final

With CM Punk vs. Cena being promoted as their last-ever encounter and the King and Queen of the Ring winners earning SummerSlam title shots, the stakes are real across the board.

Now with AJ Styles and Dominik added to the mix, it’s clear WWE isn’t playing it safe with this card. Dominik has spent the past year building heat across both brands, and Styles is looking to shut him down with no gold even necessary to make this a must-watch.

This is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Saudi shows in years, with legends, title matches, and personal rivalries all converging in one night.

Are you sold on AJ Styles vs. Dominik Mysterio, or do you think someone else should’ve stepped in for the match? Drop your thoughts in the comments — who do you want to see steal the show in Riyadh?
