Goldberg isn’t just stepping back into the ring—he’s making sure fans know it’s his final run, and WWE is already cashing in on it.
During the June 16 episode of RAW in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Hall of Famer shocked fans with his return to WWE TV, officially challenging GUNTHER to a match on July 12 at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia.
But it wasn’t just Goldberg’s return that had people talking. Fans immediately spotted that he was sporting brand-new merch, a black shirt reading “Goldberg’s Last Ride” across the front. That wasn’t just a fashion statement—it was a signal that WWE is going all in on promoting his retirement.
WWE Shop didn’t waste any time. Within minutes, their homepage was updated to feature Goldberg’s new merchandise, complete with a dedicated section promoting his farewell. For fans who’ve followed him since WCW or through his explosive WWE runs, this is one last chance to own a piece of the legacy.
“Goldberg’s Last Ride” merch instantly grabbed attention during his return segment, which ended with him declaring to GUNTHER: “You started something with me in Atlanta… and I’m finishing it in Atlanta. GUNTHER — you’re next.”
The match will take place in Goldberg’s hometown of Atlanta, giving the entire showdown an even deeper emotional punch. WWE clearly sees the moment as a major milestone, and they’re stacking every element around it—from surprise returns and pyro to new apparel—to make it unforgettable.
Goldberg has made it clear that this isn’t just another match. He recently admitted during a CarCast appearance that he’s been training hard, though injuries have already piled up. “I hurt myself a couple times in the past three months. But I pulled back,” he said. “It is tough. I’ve got a very high bar to set… and 99 times out of a hundred, it’s unrealistic.”
Still, he’s going through with it. And now, with merch and a match officially confirmed, fans can count down the days until his final bout.
