Elayna Black is keeping it real about her WWE exit—admitting once again that it didn’t catch her off guard. But when it comes to the drama that may have led to her release, she’s not touching it.
During her appearance on Going Ringside, the former NXT star made it clear she had a gut feeling something was coming.
“I feel like it’s always a shock, you know. I feel like everyone at some point in the back of their head—especially there, because it is so cutthroat and they are always doing the releases—I feel like it’s always in the back of your head. Like, maybe, maybe, maybe. But I kind of had a feeling, and you know, when the call comes, there’s nothing to do but go out from there.”
But when Scott Johnson pressed her on that feeling—suggesting something specific may have been going on—Elayna shut it down.
“We don’t need to get into all of that, but I feel like there’s little inklings here and there, and you know, you get the vibe.”
This isn’t the first time she’s dodged the topic. Right after her release, Elayna sat down with Ariel Helwani and brushed off any talk of backstage issues. She danced around the speculation then too—making it clear that whatever went down behind the scenes wasn’t something she was ready to put on blast.
It’s another sign that while she’s not denying there was heat or internal tension, she’s choosing not to put it all out there. Elayna Black may know what may have happened—but she’s keeping her cards close.
