Aleister Black made his WWE return during the April 25 episode of WWE SmackDown and since then, he’s been a mainstay of weekly programming. However, it’s impossible for him to wrestle forever and he has now revealed his in-ring retirement timeline.
While speaking to Le10Sport, Aleister Black talked about his current goals in WWE. He stated that headlining WrestleMania and winning a title is something every wrestler should aim for if they want to reach the top of the industry.
Black explained that the title, the opponent, or the storyline doesn’t matter as much. Black added that what matters is making the most of the time he has left in his career, which he hopes will be another five to eight years. Black said he’s currently in the best shape of his life, both physically and mentally.
“To headline WrestleMania and win a title ,” he says. “I think every wrestler who has a goal should aim for that if they want to reach the highest level possible in our industry. That’s the goal. But it doesn’t matter what the title is, it doesn’t matter who the opponent is, it doesn’t matter what the rivalry is, it doesn’t matter what the story is. What matters is that I want to accomplish everything I can in the time I have left as a wrestler, which is hopefully five to eight years. I feel good. I think I’m in the best shape of my life. Mentally, I feel so good.”
Aleister Black has definitely competed at a very top level ever since he came back, showing fans all over the world that he will definitely surpass all expectations during his second run. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see whether he will end up accomplishing all of his goals once he hangs up his pro wrestling boots for good.
