Shotzi Blackheart didn’t waste any time getting back in the thick of things after her WWE departure as she competed in a GCW deathmatch. After the match, Blackheart claimed she earned more in two days on the indies than what she earned in a week in WWE and she has now explained how she made that money.
While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Blackheart was asked about her claim. Blackheart explained said the payment came from a mix of match payouts, online merchandise sales, and meet and greets since people were hyped to see her back on the indies.
While she knows the excitement around her return to the indies won’t last forever, Blackheart felt good knowing she could succeed and support herself without the backing of a major company like WWE.
“Yeah, that’s me hustling though. That’s me including what I sold online, meet and greets, and the payout for my matches, of course. I know that’s not going to be like that forever, because when you first get back on the indies, everyone is hyped and wants to buy your merch. I know that won’t be forever, but it felt good that, you know, I can make it on my own.”
In the meantime, Shotzi Blackheart has been keeping herself busy in the independent circuit after wrestling a couple of matches and beefing with Matt Cardona now. That’s why people are looking forward to seeing if she’ll become the new King of the Indies now.
Shotzi Blackheart is more than confident in her abilities to succeed on her own merit and so it remains to be seen if she can become a megastar and eventually sign with another major promotion in the future, as fans feel she deserves it.
