Last month, AEW introduced a new theme song for Mina Shirakawa but ended up changing it during Dynamite after backlash from fans. While many fans believed it was because Tony Khan listened to fan feedback, it appears the actual reason isn’t quite as nice.

In a recently surfaced tweet, musician Malover Troye stated that a song he wrote was used as Mina Shirakawa’s AEW entrance theme on May 14th without his permission. According to him, a third party removed his vocals, tried to pressure him into signing away all rights to the track, and then sold it to AEW.

Malover Troye stated that he refused to give up his rights, but the song aired anyway. He was then asking AEW and Tony Khan to correct the situation.

“A song I Wrote was used as Mina Shirakawa’s AEW entrance theme (May 14th) without my permission. A 3rd party sold it to AEW after removing my vocals + pressuring me to sign away all rights. I refused. It aired anyway. Please make this right!”

This comes after Ricochet blasted many people for making fun of Tony Khan for immediately changing Mina Shirakawa’s theme song back to her Venus theme, but many now feel that the real reason it was changed wasn’t because of the backlash.

As the situation continues, fans and creators are waiting to see how AEW and Tony Khan will respond to Malover Troye’s claims. After all, this is a very serious accusation to make against AEW in general.
