Jacy Jayne isn’t here for the doubters. After winning the NXT Women’s Championship, many fans acted shocked—but she wasn’t one of them.
During her appearance on Busted Open Radio, Jayne addressed the critics who didn’t think she had what it took and broke down exactly why she was ready for the moment.
Bully Ray brought up the post-match reaction video package that aired on NXT after her title win, where Jayne confidently stated she wasn’t surprised by her victory—despite everyone else being caught off guard. He asked her to explain why she believed in herself when so many others didn’t.
“Well, I feel like I’ve stayed the course, and I know like hard work eventually is going to pay off. Like I always knew I would get to this point, I just didn’t know when it would happen. So I’m not shocked—like I worked my ass off.”
Jayne revealed she put in extra hours far from the spotlight and made serious sacrifices to level up her game.
“Like people don’t know this and I’m not really sure if I’m allowed to say this, but I was taking night classes at another school for months and months and months. Like I would do my training here at the PC in the morning. I would take ring and then I’d do strength and conditioning. I’d go home, I’d take like a power nap and then I’d go to Flatbacks at night—Tyler Breeze and Shawn Spears’ school.”
She added that this double-duty schedule became her routine, grinding multiple days a week without anyone watching.
“So I was doing double duty like multiple times a week, like however much I could. Like I was working my ass off in the dark and nobody knew that. So I knew when the opportunity came to me, I was going to be ready and I was going to take it. And that’s exactly what happened.”
Jacy Jayne didn’t just silence the critics—she left them in the dust. While others were talking, she was training twice a day, grinding in the dark, and preparing for a moment they never thought she’d reach. Now she’s holding the gold, and everyone who doubted her has to watch.
