GUNTHER is once again the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and he isn’t interested in anyone’s surprise—or the rumors surrounding his latest win. After defeating Jey Uso on the June 9, 2025 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Ring General addressed the speculation head-on during an appearance on the Raw Recap show.

Many fans expected outside interference or a twist, but GUNTHER dismissed the idea that his win should shock anyone.

“Of course I’m the new champion. You said I caught everyone by surprise—I don’t know what’s so surprising about this.”

He continued, pointing out that fans and analysts didn’t see the match as a major threat, assuming something bigger was planned involving Goldberg or Seth Rollins.

“I guess going in, it was seen as a nothing match, just a Mania rematch, and everyone was speculating that Seth Rollins was gonna do something with his briefcase, or that Goldberg was gonna show up to finally kick my ass.”

But GUNTHER made it clear that names like Rollins and Goldberg weren’t an issue when he held the title before—and they still aren’t.

“In reality, when I was world champion the first time, all those big names stayed away from me—and for good reason. Ever since I arrived in WWE, I’ve been the most dominant guy around here.”

He also addressed his WrestleMania loss to Jey Uso and acknowledged it, but said one match doesn’t define the story.

“Yes, I lost to Jey Uso at WrestleMania and I give him credit for that. But this is a marathon, not a sprint. No one matches me—nobody’s got the mental ability, the confidence, or the stamina to last that long. It’s only me. I’m competing in my own class.”

GUNTHER isn’t just holding gold again—he’s calling out the entire roster without flinching. No mind games, no surprise run-ins, no legends stepping up—just domination. If anyone thought his run was over after WrestleMania, he just made it clear they were dead wrong.
